Harris Hebrides - Ramblers Roll

Harris Hebrides - Ramblers Roll

from £73.00

This is a beautiful herringbone tweed from the Isle of Harris in Scotland. We have named it Harris Hebrides as it reminds us of those long white fleckelled island beaches nestled amongst the Outer Hebrides Isles and of course the very same isles from where the tweed originates.

Choose a 'Cosy' Roll for a Rambler with a wool felt liner (£78) for the thicker more cosy option or a 'Thin' without felt for the space saving option (£73). More product details listed below.

To our European and Scandanavian friends, after Brexit, there was a chance you could be subject to an import fee in your home country. However we have since heard reports that our customers are not receiving a fee. Which is great news. However we do have to say there is still a chance this may happen, that you may be subject to an import tax (approximately 20%) when the package arrives in your country.

The Detail

There is no finer hand woven cloth and we believe we have chosen one of the Scottish Isle of Harris's best to use on our Rolls.

Our Ramblers Rolls are made from Natural fibre materials, with an Organic water resistant wax cotton base and a handwoven wool tweed top. Choose a wool felt liner for the thicker more cosy option or a thin without felt for the space saving option.

They are rolled and held together with a vegetable tanned leather strap, held in place with brass hardware. The leather being tanned from natural materials will mark but will age with beauty.  Learn how to roll your Rambler

Thin when rolled is 22cm long x 6cm x 7cm. Cosy when rolled is 21cm long x 9cm square. Size unrolled is 44cm square. The Thin Roll weighs in at 190g whereas the Cosy is 280g.

All of our materials are responsibily sourced and made in Britain. The Roll itself is all constructed and hand finished in Devon.

In warm weather there is a chance of the wax finish from the wax cotton of your Rambler transferring onto your clothes, please be aware of this when wearing light coloured clothing or choose our ‘Tregagle’ Ramblers Roll if overly concerned about this issue.
