Dartmoor Tweed
Dartmoor Tweed
Cosy Rolls now sold out, 1 thin left.
This is a beautifully soft limited edition tweed from Bovey Tracey on the outskirts of Dartmoor. It is some of the last pieces of fabric we were able to buy from Stuart and Liz who wove this fabric on their looms in Bovey before they retired.
Choose a 'Cosy' Roll for a Rambler with a wool felt liner (£78) for the thicker more cosy option or a 'Thin' without felt for the space saving option (£73). More product details listed below.

To our European and Scandanavian friends, after Brexit, we are sorry to say there is a chance you could be subject to an import fee in your home country. However we have since heard reports that some of our customers are not recieving a fee. Which is great news. However we do have to say there is still a chance this may happen, that you may be subject to an import tax (approximately 20%) when the package arrives in your country.
The Detail
This fabric was woven on the fringes of Dartmoor by Stuart and Liz. They have been making tweed on their looms in Bovey Tracey for many years. Sadly they are winding down their business, but here at least we have the wonderful opportunity to use some of their cloth.
Our Ramblers Rolls are made from Natural fibre materials, this Roll has a blue a water resistant wax cotton base and some of the finest handwoven wool tweed we could find for the top layer.
Cosy when rolled is 22cm long x 9cm square. Thin when rolled is 22cm long x 5cm square. Size unrolled is 44cm square. The Thin Roll weighs in at 180g whereas the Cosy is 280g.
They are rolled and held together with a vegetable tanned leather strap, held in place with brass hardware. The leather being tanned from natural materials will mark but will age with beauty. Learn how to roll your Rambler
All of our materials are responsibily sourced and made in Britain. The Roll itself is all constructed and hand finished in Devon.
