Join me for a Forest Friday in the woods to delve into the beauty of the British Rainforest and come for a day with some wandering, brews and wild creativity.
We will be walking and sitting out in nature, we can lend you a Moorswood Ramblers Roll for the day but you will need to come a little prepared. You will need to provide all of you own hill kit, waterproofs, boots and lunch. I will provide the cake and lots of encouragement. For our wild create acitivity I will be teaching some spoon carving, although you can choose to join us and draw, paint , knit, write .. anything really. If you are spoon carving I would prefer if you had already undertaken a beginners course as we will be carving in remote locations. I will bring some spoon blanks and can lend you tools. It is fabulous to create in nature and I reallly hope you look forward to it as much as I often do.

Away from all of our built up environment, roads, railways, houses, telegraph poles… leave it all behind and find some space amongst thewoodlands of Dartmoor. This will be a wander of anything between 6 - 12km depending on the capability of the group and the weather on the day. We will also spend time sat out in the woods for wild creatvity, more than likely spoon carving with some tuition (I’d prefer if you have some experience and not be a complete beginner). I will provide some spoon blanks for us to work on the same spoon together to save having to carry too many tools, I can also provide some tools to borrow should you need them. We will be aiming to meet at approx 9am and stay out until maybe 4pm (These times may vary according to weather/light conditions). Please bring your own sensible walking boots, waterproofs, warm appropriate clothing, your own food and water for the day. The lcation exact location will be emailed before the course however it will more than likely be on the east side of Dartmoor near Bovey Tracey or Ashburton.
