Away from all of our built up environment, roads, railways, houses, telegraph poles… leave it all behind and find some space amongst the moors of Dartmoor. This will be a walk of anything between 6 - 12km depending on the capability of the group.

I will lead a small group of people into a remote area of Dartmoor to camp and spend some time. Walking out from Saturday afternoon through to the following morning. You will need to be relatively fit and be capable of carrying all of your own equipment in a rucksack on your back. For those that don’t have lightweight sleeping mats or tents I can provide these to borrow for the night. If you would like a private group event then please get in touch to discuss and arrange a weekend (email below).

You will need to provide your own suitable walking boots, gaiters, full waterproofs and hopefully a 3 season sleeping bag, rucksack (although I may be able to help with these if you don’t have them). I will provide a more detailed kit list if requested or upon booking. I will also provide stoves for cooking with an evening meal and hot drinks.

Full refunds for this event are only available up to two weeks before the event. After that a 50% refund will be made available unless a replacement attendee can be found. Should the weather look to be extreme ie gale force winds, the event may be postponed or cancelled with a full refund avialable. We will not cancel if it is just wind or rain that is forecast as this is a very common occurence on Dartmoor. This changeable weather can often bring the moors into it’s own kind of beauty, we don’t need perfect blue skies to head out and enjoy it.
